Murum has Ancient History as one of the most beautiful and Ancient Temples of Lord Shiva, It Is Said That it has been constructed In age of Mahabharata and Renovated time to time, few of old books have the reference of this temple. Most of the village people speak Marathi, Hindi and English Language. Murum people use Marathi language for communication.

Murum and surrounding areas mostly depend on agriculture as the main source of income. The land in the region is very well irrigated because of Nira Left Canal irrigation from Veer Dam. Nira rivers also provide direct irrigation water to farms.
