Daru is an Indian[1] restaurant and cocktail bar in Washington, D.C.[2][3]
Description[edit]
The menu has included tandoori lamb chops, chicken makhani, and wild-mushroom biryani,[4] as well as jackfruit tacos, paneer pesto tikka, and black daal with burrata.[5] Dishes described by Thrillist as "Indian-ish" include wok-fried cabbage and zaatar olive naan.[6]

The business is owned by Dante Datta and chef Suresh Sundas,[7] and operates in the former Star Grocery building.[8]
