Ethnicity[edit]

The Uva Paranagama Polling Division has a Sinhalese majority (83.8%) and a significant Indian Tamil population (11.2%) . In comparison, the Badulla Electoral District (which contains the Uva Paranagama Polling Division) has a Sinhalese majority (73.0%) and a significant Indian Tamil population (18.5%) [1]
