Madis Laiv (born 1 June 1937) is a retired Estonian racecar driver.[1] He is champion of various Soviet formula classes. Laiv is one of the most successful Estonian racing drivers during Soviet time.[citation needed]

He began his racing career in 1958.[2] In 1963, he won the Soviet Formula 3 Championship, and in 1964, he won the Soviet Formula 4 Championship. He also won the Soviet Formula 1 Championship in 1971, and in 1972 and 1975, he won the Formula 2 title. His career highlight was winning the Cup of Peace and Friendship in 1975.[3]
