Mahdiyeh (Persian: مهديه)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Dajivand Rural District of the Central District of Holeylan County, Ilam province, Iran.[4] The village is populated by Kurds.[5]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 557 in 102 households, when it was in Holeylan Rural District of the former Holeylan District of Chardavol County.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 497 people in 122 households.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 517 people in 143 households.[2]

In 2018, Holeylan District was separated from Chardavol County in the establishment of Holeylan County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with Towhid as its capital and only city.[4]
