Tapan Kumar Biswas

Prof. (Dr.) Tapan Kumar Biswas[1] Born on September 13, 1964, in West Bengal, India. Biswas has an academic career spanning over two decades.

Career[edit]

Teaching[edit]

Biswas began his teaching career at Asutosh College, where he joined as an Assistant Professor in 1996. He later joined the Department of Folklore at the University of Kalyani[2] in 2000 and has been continuing here since then.

Administration[edit]

Biswas also served as the Vice-Chancellor (Officiating) at the University of Kalyani for a brief period in 2017. He also served as Vice Chancellor at Harichand Guruchand University[3] Vice-Chancellor from January 30, 2021, to January 29, 2023, and again from March 9, 2023, to June 8, 2023.
