Relyon

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Relyon is a British manufacturer of beds and mattresses in Wellington, in Somerset.[1] In 2009 it had 500 employees.[2]

History[edit]

The company was established in 1858 as Price Brothers and Co.,[1] and was renamed to Relyon in 1935.[citation needed]

It was bought by Steinhoff International in 2001.[citation needed] It joined the Furniture Industry Sustainability Programme in 2013.[3][4] In the same year it received a Furniture Industry Research Association certification of its beds they designed for commercial use.[5]

Steinhoff sold the company, together with Bensons for Beds and Harveys, in November 2019 to Alteri Investors, a British private equity group.[6]
