Pushyamitra Bhargav is an Indian politician, lawyer and social activist from Indore, Madhya Pradesh.[1][2][3][4] He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party.[5][6] He is currently serving as the 24th Mayor of Indore. He became mayor after defeating former Indian National Congress member Sanjay Shukla by a record 1,32,956 votes.[7][8]

He has also served as the youngest Additional Advocate General of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.[9][10] As mayor, he requested that shops in Indore display replicas of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and warned that residents “know how to respond to those who fail to cooperate”.[7]
