Kerry Xuefeng Chen (Chinese: 陈雪峰; pinyin: Chén Xuěfēng; born February 1980) is a Chinese entrepreneur who is the founder and CEO of ATRenew (AiHuiShou).[2]

He was named amongst Fortune China's 40 Under 40 in 2018 and nominated for "2020-2021 Green China Person of the Year."[3][4]

Early life and education[edit]

Kerry Xuefeng Chen holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Tongji University and a master's degree in Computer Science from Fudan University.[2] He graduated from Fudan University in 2006. In July of the same year, he assumed the role of product manager at SYKES China.[5] In June 2010, he resigned from SYKES China.

In 2011, Kerry Xuefeng Chen founded AiHuiShou (later known as ATRenew), an online platform specializing in the recycling of secondhand mobile phones, in Shanghai.[6]

In 2017, Kerry Xuefeng Chen was named amongst "Top 10 Internet Entrepreneurs in Shanghai" during its second edition, alongside Colin Huang, founder and former CEO of e-commerce platform Pinduoduo, and Zhang Xuhao (Mark Zhang), co-founder and CEO of the online food delivery platform Ele.me.[7]

On September 22, 2020, Kerry Xuefeng Chen announced that AiHuiShou would be rebranded as All Things Renew (ATRenew), overseeing business lines including AHS Recycle, PJT Marketplace, Paipai Marketplace, and the group’s overseas business known as AHS Device.[8]

Upon ATRenew's debut on the NYSE on June 18, 2021, Kerry Xuefeng Chen said that the bell ringing ceremony is just a start for the company as recommerce is a massive industry and a promising sector.[5]

Public welfare[edit]

Kerry Xuefeng Chen is passionate about public welfare. He has asked ATRenew to donate recycled pre-owned electronic devices to school-age children in rural areas in China, enabling them with more access to educational resources and digital literacy.[9]
