The 2023 Australian Swimming Championships are scheduled to be held from 17 to 20 April 2023 at the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre in Gold Coast, Queensland.[1]

This event will double as the national selection trials for the 2023 World Para Swimming Championships to be held in Manchester in July.[2] It will also form part of the selection process for the 2023 World Aquatics Championships and 2023 US TYR Pro Championships, however final team selections will not be announced until the 2023 Australian Swimming Trials in Melbourne, Victoria in June.[3]

There were no major withdrawals from the event with the exception of 2020 Olympian Chelsea Hodges who has required surgery to repair torn cartilage in her right hip.[4] Minna Atherton also missed the event due to injury.[5]
