Hassan Azarfar, (Persian: حسن آذرفر) (1933, Borujerd – February 25, 1984, Tehran) Colonel of the Ground Forces Headquarters of the Iranian Army, was an Iranian and a member of the clandestine military organization of the Tudeh Party of Iran.

In the month of February/March 1983, Azarfar, along with other members of the Tudeh Party, was arrested. After 12 hours of detention, he was transferred to solitary cells in Evin Prison along with other family members. During the following 20 days, he underwent torture and interrogation. In between both "disciplinary actions," he was thrown into a corner of the corridor with his eyes closed. Even in the midst of intense torture, he, without showing any signs of unconsciousness, would utter, mixed with moans, "I am the son of hardworking people, and I will stand with the people until my last breath!"[1]

Hassan Azarfar was executed in Evin in the year 1984.[2]
