24 News (Twenty Four News) is a free-to-air Indian Malayalam language free-to-air news channel owned by Insight Media City (Sreekandan Nair). It was launched as a pilot in 2016 and has an online portal. It was officially launched on 8 December 2018, this channel is headquartered in Kochi. It has studios in Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi. It is the Second channel after Flowers TV from Insight Media City.

Twenty Four News was launched in 2018 as a test channel. It was officially launched on 8 December 2018. The channel is promoted by Sreekandan Nair, a prominent Malayalam television anchor. Alungal Muhammed is the chairman of Twentyfour News.[1]

Ownership[edit]

Twenty Four News is owned by Insight Media City. Insight Media City is a media company based in Kochi, Kerala. It also owns the popular Malayalam entertainment channel Flowers TV.[2]

Programming[edit]

Twenty Four News broadcasts a variety of news and current affairs programs. It also has programs on sports, movies, lifestyle, and other topics. The channel also broadcasts live coverage of important events.[3]

Awards and recognition[edit]

Twenty Four News has won several awards for its journalism. In 2020, it won the Kerala State Television Award for Best News Channel.[4]
