Alatau or Ala-Too (Kazakh: Alatau, Алатау; Turkish: Аladağ; Kyrgyz: Ала-Тоо; Russian: Алатау) is a generic name for a number of mountain ranges in Central Asia, characterized by interleaving areas of vegetation, scattered rocks and snows.
