Jaru Rural District (Persian: دهستان جارو) is in Palangabad District of Eshtehard County, Alborz province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Jaru.[3]

In August 2010, Karaj County, Nazarabad County, and Savojbolagh County were separated from Tehran province in the establishment of Alborz province.[4]

In June 2012, Eshtehard District was separated from Karaj County in the establishment of Eshtehard County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with Eshtehard as its capital and only city at the time.[3]

At the most recent census of 2016, Jaru Rural District had a population of 1,407 in 445 households. The most populous of its 12 villages was Jaru, with 766 people.[2]
