Sam Weir (born 1990 in the Gold Coast, Australia) is an Australian endurance athlete.[1] He is known for undertaking some of the Worlds most challenging endurance events in inhospitable terrain.
5x Aust record holder. Fastest 50 mile 2013 in Australia. Youngest to finish C2K 240 km ultra. First to cross PNG on Foot unassisted 270kms with lieutenant Budiono & Private John. Winner of the 450 km single stage ANZAC Ultra Marathon 2015, 81 hrs 41 minutes.[citation needed].Youngest Australian to finish BadWater 135 mile, Death Valley, California, 2016.
Competed in The southern hemispheres longest single stage race,2019 Nerang 500km with over 19,000 meters of vertical gain, 2nd place 99hrs 32minutes.
Sri Lanka 250km Ultra X 2020, 4th place.
Youngest Australian to row across the Atlantic Ocean during December 2017, Crossing the ocean in 52 days 4 hrs 18 minutes with fellow Australian Dylan Jones.[citation needed] Ultra distances raced in multiple occasions in 50 km, 100 km, 100-mile, 240 km, 200-mile, 450 km and 500 km races.
