Old Leonese is a West Iberian language spoken in the Kingdom of León.

Phonology[edit]

The sound change [ʎ] to [ʝ], called yeísmo, may appear in Old East and Central Leonese.^[1] This phenomenon may have spread to Castilian from Asturian and Leonese settlers.^[2]
