Malekut (Persian: ملكوت), also Romanized as Malekūt,[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Somam Rural District[4] of Rankuh District, Amlash County, Gilan province, Iran.

At the 2006 census, the village population had 397 residents in 101 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 365 people in 106 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 374 people in 126 households.[2]
