Araskonay-e Sofla (Persian: ارسكناي سفلي)^[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Charuymaq-e Jonubegharbi Rural District^[4] of the Central District of Charuymaq County, East Azerbaijan province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 139 in 24 households.^[5] The following census in 2011 counted 110 people in 29 households.^[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 115 people in 34 households.^[2]
