Rareș Dumitru Canea (born 12 March 2004) is a footballer who plays as a defender for Regionalliga Bayern club Bayern Munich II. Born in Romania, he is a Germany youth international.
Early life[edit]
Canea moved with his family from Romania to Germany on 2011.[1]
Club career[edit]
As a youth player, Canea joined the youth academy of German side 1860 Munich. On 2014, he joined the youth academy of German Bundesliga side Bayern Munich. He captained the club's under-16 team.[2]
International career[edit]
Canea represented Germany internationally at youth level. He represented the Germany national under-16 football team, however he is eligible for both his native Romania and Germany.
Style of play[edit]
Canea mainly operates as a centre-back.

Canea is the son of Dumitru Canea. He is a native of Constanța, Romania.[3]
