The Central District of Shazand County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان شازند) is in Markazi province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Shazand.[3]

At the National Census in 2006, its population was 61,632 in 6,456 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 47,737 people in 14,446 households,[5] by which time Kazzaz Rural District had been created in the district, and Qarah Kahriz Rural District and Kuhsar Rural District had been separated from it in the establishment of Qarah Kahriz District. At the latest census in 2016, the district had 45,840 inhabitants in 14,992 households.[2]
