Chinyere Udoma (born 1976), is a Nigerian gospel musician, singer and songwriter best known for singing Igbo gospel music with her angelic voice. She first gained her first recognized hit, “Agu N’eche Mba” in 2000. In 2010, she released the single "Adim Well Loaded".[1]

Early life and education[edit]

Udoma had her education in mass communication from University of Nigeria although she was born in Ibadan.[2][3] She is from Igbo descent. She started out as a chorister at St Mary's Catholic Church, Nnokwa where she garnered recognition.[1] In 1999, she debuted her first song, "Ị dịghị ajọ njọ." In 2018 during the Women of Praise inaugural concert, She was featured alongside Cece Winans to perform.[4][5]

Personal life[edit]

She is married to Ifeanyi Akaekpuchionwa whom she said had met in a crusade.[1]

Accolades[edit]

Her songs has been featured in CLIMA awards.[6] Her debut, Agu N'eche mba, has been praised on African contemporary musical education calling it "Christology."[7] In 2022, The Stone Magazine awarded her the Gospel Artiste of the year for South East, Nigeria.[8] She was nominated as the stage most outstanding music minister of the year for the 2023 CLIMA AFRICA Awards.[9]
