Claire Anna Constant (born 13 October 1999) is a footballer who plays as a defender for Portuguese club SCU Torreense. Born in the United States to Haitian parents, she is a Haiti international.[1]

Early life[edit]

Constant was born in the United States to a Haitian father and an American mother.[2]

Youth career[edit]

Constant got selected to United States women's national team training camps five times.[3]

College career[edit]

Constant played soccer for the women's team of the University of Virginia.[4]

Club career[edit]

In 2023, Constant signed for Portuguese side Torreense.[5]

International career[edit]

Constant was nicknamed "Cyborg" by her Haiti women's national football team teammates.[6] As she helped Haiti qualify for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, the first time they qualified for the World Cup, she was regarded as a fan favorite due to her performances as a defender.[7]

Constant was known for her versatility as a youth player.[8]

Personal life[edit]

Constant is the daughter of Reverend Joseph Constant.[8] She is the eldest daughter in her family.[6]
