Reeshma Nanaiah is an Indian model and film actress, who has worked predominantly in the Kannada movie industry. Reeshma made her Sandalwood debut through Prems's Ek Love Ya.[2]

Life and career[edit]

Reeshma Nanaiah was born to a Kodava speaking family in Bangalore, Karnataka. She completed her degree in mass communication at Jyothi Nivas and is currently pursuing her masters.[1] She did her schooling in Bangalore. She started her career as a model. She participated in 'The Livon Bangalore Times Fresh Face' and emerged as the runner up in that event.[2] Reeshma Nanaiah making her film debut with Ek Love Ya.[3]

Her debut film, "Ek Love Ya," released in 2022, marked a significant milestone in her career. This film, where she played the role of Anitha, opened doors for her in the Kannada film industry.

Following her debut, Reeshma showcased her acting skills in "Raana," released in 2022 and “Banadariyalli” released in 2023, Kannada films. In 2023, she made a special appearance in the movie "Spooky College," contributing to a song in the film.

Moreover, Reeshma is involved in a few other projects in 2024, such as “UI The Movie”, "KD – The Devil," and “Vaamana”. Each of these films added to her evolving talent as an actress in the Kannada film industry.

Reeshma Nanaiah featured prominently in the "Troll Song" from Upendra's film "UI". The song, which became a sensation upon its release in five different languages, explores the theme of trolling in the digital age, including elements from popular reels and memes. Nanaiah's involvement in the song was marked by her vibrant energy and her ability to convey a mix of innocence and proactivity, qualities specifically sought by the film's director, Upendra. The song's choreography by Imran Sardhariya and the lyrical content add depth to its theme.
