The Great Transition is a 2022 non-fiction book that maps the development of the finance industry and the influence that decentralized finance has on traditional banking, society, and entire economies.[1][2]
Overview[edit]
The book was written by Emmanuel Daniel and published in September 2022 as The Great Transition: The Personalization of Finance is Here by World Scientific.[3][4] The book covers the finance industry and its massive transformation, shifting from its platform stage into what Emmanuel Daniel calls the “Personalization of Finance".[5][6][7] It discusses how traditional finance will finally be transformed by developments in cryptocurrencies, stablecoins and decentralised finance.[8][9][10][11]
Reception[edit]
Former congressman Barney Frank wrote the foreword.[12] The book has attracted positive reviews by Richard Sandor,[13] and Alex Manson, the General Manager of Standard Chartered Bank’s SC Ventures.[14][15]
The book has been reviewed by The Fintech Times editorial director Mark Walker[16][17] and The Financial Brand’s co-publisher Jim Marous.[18][19] It has also been reviewed by Kirkus Reviews.[20]
