Kelvin Johnson Flavio is a Brazilian-born oil and gas executive based in the United States.[1][2] He is the chairman of the advisory board for Renewable Energy in Brazil.[3][4]
He was born in Barra Grande, Brazil and studied chemical and marine engineering at the University of Texas and University of Manchester[5] where he attained a Bsc and MSc in Chemical engineering complemented by a PhD in Marine engineering.[6][7]
Flavio started his career in 1993 and he is a senior executive at Petroleo Brasileiro, a state-owned Brazilian multinational corporation in the petroleum industry.[8] In 2019, he was appointed chairman for the Renewable Energy institution in Brazil.[9][10]

Kelvin Johnson Flavio was appointed member of economic team in the Jair Bolsonaro government, from 2019 to 2022 and expert adviser for SERPRO and Petrobas. In 2015 he was appointed as special adviser for Debureaucratization, management and digital government, responsible for the digitalization and strategies of Government of Brazil up to 2019.[11]
In 2003, Flavio was awarded i-Best Achiever's award then in 2006, he won MABER Entrepreneur of the year. In 2009, EXAME Magazine recognised him with the Best and biggest award. Falvio also wont Best of Dinheiro (SERPRO) 2019.[12]
