Bayqut (Persian: بايقوت andTurkish as Bayqut), also Romanized as Bāyqūt,^[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Gavdul-e Gharbi Rural District^[4] of the Central District of Malekan County, East Azerbaijan province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 3,414 in 792 households.^[5] The following census in 2011 counted 3,741 people in 1,001 households.^[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 3,920 people in 1,142 households.^[2]
