Stará Ľubovňa District (okres Stará Ľubovňa) is a district in the Prešov Region of eastern Slovakia. Until 1918, the district was almost entirely part of the county of Kingdom of Hungary of Spiš, apart from a small area in the east which formed part of the county of Šariš.

Demographics[edit]

According to the 2011 Census, 31,600 people in the Stará Ľubovňa District identified as a Roman Catholic, 15,422 as a Greek Catholic, and 1,230 said they identified with no religion.[3] In addition, 41,436 identified themselves as Slovak, 4,243 identified themselves as Roma, and 3,494 identified themselves as Ruthenian.[4]
