The Piper is a 1945 Australian radio play by Edmund Barclay.

The play was repeated later in the year[2] and in 1947.[3]

According to one account it was "combining fresh simplicity and sentiment with mysticism."[4]

The play was positively received.[5]

Premise[edit]

"Life on Nether Dene Farm was uninteresting until the arrival of a mysterious stranger who played the flute."[6]
