The Yellow Tie is an upcoming Romanian biographical film directed by Serge Ioan Celibidachi and starring John Malkovich as conductor Sergiu Celibidache, the father of the director.[2][3]

Production[edit]
In September 2022, it was announced that Rupert Friend would be cast as the younger version of Celibidache.[4] In June 2023, it was announced that Friend was replaced by Schnetzer.[5] Also in June, it was announced that Bean, Richardson, Phillips, Lesser and Rowe were also cast in the film.[1]
Filming occurred in Romania, particularly in Sala Palatului, in June 2023.[6][7]
