Selby's, a Michelin Star restaurant, is known for its variety of classic steakhouse favorites and an expansive wine menu. It is located on 3001 El Camino Real, Redwood City, California though actually in North Fair Oaks. Selby's draws inspiration from old Hollywood, creating a moody atmosphere for their inside dining experience.[1]
Selby's restaurant hours of operation are 5pm to 10pm every night of the week.[2]
Background[edit]
Selby's Restaurant opened on July 23, 2019.[2] It was begun by Tim Stannard.[3] Stannard is quoted as being the "founding partner and president"[3] of the Bacchus Management Group. This Bacchus Management Group is also in charge of other restaurants around the bay area including; Spruce, The Village Pub, The Village Bakery, La Conessa, Louie's Original, Magic Donuts and Coffee, Pizza Antica, Smip Ranch, Roast Co., Bacchus Events, and Woodside Chocolate Company.[3]
The 10,000 square-foot[1] building where the Selby's Restaurant now resides, used to be home to another restaurant, Chantilly's, that closed in 2017.[1]
Dining[edit]
Selby's offers valet parking, two story inside dining including a bar on the first floor and private rooms on the second story. One of Selby's most popular dining experiences includes private events for larger parties that often book private rooms or the entire restaurant.
Selby's menu items offers a spin on the classic American cuisine, bringing in its own flavors and specialties to American favorites. Selby's is most known for their caviar appetizer, beef wellington and deluxe beef burger,[4] provided by their executive chef, Mark Sullivan.[3] Some of their menu is available for take-out or delivery.
Their wine list includes thousands of wines.[2] The wine list centers around wine from California, Italy, France and Spain.[5] Along with their wine list, there is a bar that offers a variety of seasonal and classic cocktails.
