Samson Adeniran Bademosi (born 10 April 1993) professionally known as Samsix is a Nigerian-American songwriter and musician.[1] He is the co-founder of Royal Magic Records, a record label. In 2012, he released his first single  “Walking On Clouds”.

Biography[edit]

Born on 10 April, 1993 in Washington, DC, USA to Nigerian parents from Ondo State, Samson Adeniran Bademosi is the grandson of Chief Hubert Adedeji Ogunde who was an actor, playwright, theatre manager. He is known founding the first contemporary professional theatrical in Nigeria.[2]

He attended Grace Christian Private School, Bowie, Maryland, for his elementary education. In 2009, at the age of 16,  he relocated to Nigeria to further his education and continued his education at Bells Comprehensive Secondary School, Ota, Ogun State. In 2012, he proceeded to Redeemers University, Mowe, Ogun State to study Political Science. [2]Later on, he enrolled at Howard Community College, Columbia, but didn’t complete his studies there.[3]

Samsix started playing the drums at the age of three. He claims to get his inspiration for music from his grandfather, late Chief Hubert Adedeji Ogunde. When he was 11 years old, he came out second in a singing competition at Six Flags Theme Park, Bowie, Maryland.[4]

While in Redeemer’s University, Samsix debuted his first single  “Walking On Clouds”.[5]He returned back to America in 2014, to pursue his passion for music. In 2015, he performed at Olamide Live in Concert in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. He worked as an independent artist for several years. However, in 2020, he co-founded the record label,[6] “Royal Magic Records”. That same year, he released his first single under the record label “Fight For You”.[7]

In 2023, he released another single “Shining Star” featuring Rexxie.[8][9]
