Midnight.Works is a Moldavian game development and publishing studio, founded in 2015.
The company was founded by Roman Gaina, Cătălin Țiței, and Victor Bivol, starting in a coffee shop where they worked until midnight, which inspired the company's name. Initially focusing on mobile apps, Midnight.Works transitioned to game development, releasing their first game in 2017. A significant partnership with Facebook in 2018 helped shape the company's future.[1]
In 2020, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the company expanded into console and PC gaming. By 2021, they had established a satellite office in Bucharest, Romania, and by 2023, the team grew to over 240 employees.[1] Midnight.Works has developed over 100 game titles and continues to expand, with a focus on supporting emerging game studios through publishing and funding.
The headquarters of Midnight.Works is located in Chișinău, Moldova, with additional offices in Bucharest and Iași, Romania.
