Kuhestan Rural District (Persian: دهستان كوهستان)[3] is in Rostaq District of Darab County, Fars province, Iran.[4] Its capital is the village of Tall Bargah.[5]

At the National Census of 2006, its population was 5,070 in 1,196 households.[6] There were 4,985 inhabitants in 1,356 households at the following census of 2011.[7] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 5,561 in 1,653 households. The most populous of its 84 villages was Shahrak-e Isar, with 1,680 people.[2]
