Rawal (surname)

Rawal (also spelled as Raval) is a surname of various Indian and Nepali communities. It is found among the Rajputs,[1] Maratha,Marathas,[2] Gurjars[3][4] and Chhetri Nepali hindus.

It was first time used by Bappa Rawal, ruler of Mewar Kingdom as royal title.[5][6]
