Vogue Institute of Art and Design is a design school established under Manduda Educational Trust, a charitable organization based in Bangalore, Karnataka. It is affiliated to Bengaluru North University.[1][2][3][4]

History[edit]

Vogue Institute of Art and Design, formerly known as Vogue Institute of Fashion Technology was established in the year 1996 by Dr. M.M. Kariappa. The institute runs under Manduda Educational Trust, a charitable organization. The institute was the first to initiate a degree program in fashion designing in the year 1999 with Bangalore University. The institute is ISO 9001:2008 certified and affiliated to Bengaluru North University.[5][6]

In 2018, Vogue expanded its realm and launched Dr Kariappa School of Art and Design Management, now known as Vogue Business School, which is approved by AICTE. The institute provides MBA and under-graduate programs with different streams.[3][7][1][8][6]

VIAD is in collaborated with international education institutes such as De Montfort University UK, University of Sunderland UK,[1] Academia Costume and Moda, Italy and Accademia Del Lusso, Italy. The institute provides opportunities to interact with international institutes and its faculty members.[9][10]

Post Graduate and Undergraduate courses[edit]

Post graduation courses are following:[11][12]

  • M. Des - 2 Years full time degree program in (Fashion Design Management), (Interior design and Decoration). The courses are approved by Bengaluru North University.
  • BVA - 4 years full time graduation program available in Animation & Game Art. The courses are approved by Bengaluru North University.
  • Bachelor in Jewellery Design and Management 3 years full time graduation program, approved by University of Mysore.

Diploma Programs[edit]

The Institute provides 1 Year diploma programs available in Fashion design, Interior design, Jewellery design, Graphic and Web Designing, VFX-PRO, Multimedia, 3D Animation and more.[11][12]

Campus[edit]

The institute is located at Apparel Park, Doddaballapur, Bengaluru, the 4 acre campus is surrounded by 100+ apparel and manufacturing units. The campus infrastructure includes state of the art Labs with design softwares and modernized equipment, design workstations, amphitheater, and auditorium which is designed for inducing experiential learning.[6][12]

CSR[edit]

The students take part in social responsibility initiatives. On International Women’s Day, the students reached out to women inmates at Parapana Agrahara prison and taught them how to make jewellery and knit.[13]

With sustainable fashion being the most recent trend, students shared innovative ways to repair, reuse and redesign one’s wardrobe.[14]
