Vijayveer Singh

Vijayveer Singh Sidhu (born 21 June 2002) is an Indian sport shooter from Chandigarh. He competes in the 25m rapid fire pistol discipline. He was part of the Indian shooting team at the 2022 Asian Games, Hangzhou, China.[1] He was part of the Indian team that won the 25m rapid fire pistol bronze at the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou.[2] He holds the Junior World Record in the 25m standard pistol team event along with his brother Udhayveer Singh and Adarsh.[3]

Early life[edit]

Vijayveer and his identical twin Udhayveer Singh Sidhu started the sport at an early age of 8 years at a summer camp in their school St. Xavier's in Mansa.[4] Their father Gurpreet Singh Sidhu encouraged them to take up the sport and moved the family to Sector 51 in Chandigarh in 2015 to facilitate their training.[4] Their mother Rani Kaur is a school teacher.

Career[edit]

2022: In June, they won the team gold in the 25m air pistol at the ISSF Cup in Suhl, Germany.
