The Central District of Dowreh County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان دوره), formerly Chegeni District (بخش چگنی),[3] formerly Dowreh-e Chegeni District (Persian: بخش دوره چگني), is in Dowreh County, Lorestan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Sarab-e Dowreh.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population (as a part of Khorramabad County) was 31,117 in 6,657 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 16,190 people in 4,015 households,[6] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Dowreh County.[4] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 15,624 inhabitants in 4,346 households.[2]
