Oleksandr Mykhailovych Vasylynyuk

Oleksandr Mykhailovych Vasylynyuk (1976, Oleksandrivka —2020, Kharkiv, Ukraine) is a lieutenant colonel of the National Guard of Ukraine, deputy commander of military unit 3029 (Zaporizhia) in terms of personnel, a veteran of the war in eastern Ukraine.

Early life and education[edit]

Vasylynyuk was born on December 2, 1976, in the village of Oleksandrivka in the Kirovohrad region of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic. He studied at Oleksandrivska School No.3 and later graduated from the Ivan Bohun Military High School.

Military service[edit]

From 2010 to 2015, Vasylynyuk was on a military pension and lived in the village of Novi Sanzhary in the Poltava Region. At the beginning of 2015, he came to serve at the HC 3029 (Zaporizhzhia).

Vasylyniuk spent three years in the anti-terrorist operation and Operation Combined Forces on rotation. After the transfer of Yaroslav Kalashnyk, the deputy commander of the personnel unit, to HC 3017 of the NSU (Kharkiv), Vasylyniuk was promoted to deputy commander of the regiment.

Personal life and death[edit]

Vasylynyuk lived in the city of Zaporizhia. He had a wife and son.

Vasylynyuk died on February 13, 2020. He was buried with full military honors at the Oleksandrivka city cemetery.[1]
