José Antonio Eneque

José Antonio Eneque Soraluz (Lambayeque, May 25, 1959) is a Peruvian environmental engineer and politician.[1] He is the current Provincial Mayor of Lambayeque and a member of the Alliance for Progress political party.[2]

Biography[edit]

He studied biological sciences at the Pedro Ruiz Gallo National University (UNPRG) and later obtained a master's degree in environmental engineering at the same university.[3] He has been elected three times as Provincial Councilor of Lambayeque for the periods 2003–2006, 2007–2010, and 2019–2022.[1][4] He was also elected as Regional Councilor of Lambayeque for the period 2011–2014. Previously, he was a member of the APRA and Fuerza Popular political parties.[5]

Since May 9, 2022, he has served as Provincial Mayor of Lambayeque following the resignation of Alexander Rodríguez Alvarado.[6]
