Artur Goroyan is an Armenian racing driver officially representing Armenia in international competitions. He took Pole position and won in the TCR class at the 2023 6 Hours of Abu Dhabi.[1][2][3] He also competed in the 2022 Dubai 24 Hour in an Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo. He has scored multiple podiums in the Nürburgring Endurance Series at the Nürburgring from 2012 to 2022. At the 2016 24 Hours of Nürburgring he took pole position and finished fourth in his class. He is also a winner of the first stage of Russian Endurance Championship in his class. He also participated in the SWS Karting Championship 24 Hours of Dubai from 2008 to 2012. He currently drives for his own racing team Goroyan RT.

Biography and education[edit]

Artur Goroyan was born on April 25, 1988, in Ninotsminda, Georgia, into an Armenian family.

In 2004 he graduated from high school in the city of Armavir.

In 2007 he graduated from the Moscow Technical College with a degree in computer complexes, systems and networks.

In 2011, he graduated from the Moscow Institute of Economics, Statistics and Informatics (MESI) with a degree in Applied Informatics in Economics.

In 2011, he graduated from the Eurasian Open University with a degree in statistics in economics, part-time.

Racing career[edit]

He started karting in 2008 at Forza karting academy under the head coach, Russian racing driver Sergey Baldin, after several MIKS championships, he continued his career as a kart driver in the SWS 24 Hours of Dubai in competition with such a pilot as Fernando Alonso.[4]

After karting he continued his career in the Nürburgring Endurance Series at the Nürburgring.[5]

After several performance, he received an admission-invitation from the German Motorsport Federation to the Nürburgring 24 Hours race.

After obtaining absolute admission to the track, without restrictions on the power of cars and race times, he began to cooperate with various teams and had factory support from OPC, AMR and Audi Sport.

He has driven more than 1000 laps on the Nürburgring and holds a gold track license.
