St Mary of the Rosary Church is a Catholic Church in the Diocese of Killaloe. It was dedicated in 1896.

It was Bishop of Killaloe Michael Flannery who first proposed St Mary's as Cathedral Church of Killaloe Diocese. It is thus to be reckoned as one of the finest churches to be found in its country.[1] St Mary of the Rosary Church shuts its doors, during the summer, at 20:00, that is, 8pm, in the evening, on weekdays that is, but, depending on the day of week, it shuts its doors, earlier, at 19:00, that is, 7pm, if, that is, the day is a Sunday, and the evening has occurred.[2] The parish priest currently, here, is Father Patrick Gilbert, and he is known as Pat, or, more politely, Father Pat.[3] Nick Cave has attended.[4]

This is where the funeral of Shane MacGowan was held, after his death.[5][6] Johnny Depp said a prayer from the pulpit.[7]
