Bítouchov is a municipality and village in Mladá Boleslav District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 400 inhabitants.

Administrative parts[edit]

The villages of Dalešice and Dolánky are administrative parts of Bítouchov.

Geography[edit]

Bítouchov is located about 5 kilometres (3 mi) north of Mladá Boleslav and 48 km (30 mi) northeast of Prague. It lies in the Jizera Table.

History[edit]

The first written mention of Bítouchov is from 1388. However, mention of "Bítúch's court" allegedly appeared as early as the 12th century.^[2] The village was part of the Zvířetice estate.^[3]

Sights[edit]

The only cultural monument in Bítouchov is the Chapel of the Virgin Mary, located in the centre of the village. It was built in the Empire style in 1830.^[6]
