Dowzeyn (Persian: دوزين)[a] is a city in, and the capital of, Kuhsarat District of Minudasht County, Golestan province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 census, its population was 4,971 in 1,046 households, when it was a village in the former Kuhsarat Rural District of the Central District.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 5,785 people in 1,484 households,[6] by which time the rural district had been separated from the district in the establishment of Kuhsarat District, and the village was transferred to the new Garu Rural District. The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 5,737 people in 1,681 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]

After the census, the village of Dowzeyn was elevated to the status of a city.[4]
