Al Aqda (Persian: العقدا), also Romanized as Al ‘Aqdā; also known as Al Agdah, ‘Alī ‘Agad, ‘Alī ‘Agdeh, Ali Akdeh, Al ‘Oqdeh, Kūt Saiyid Husain, and Parvast,^[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Qaleh Chanan Rural District of the Central District of Karun County, Khuzestan province, Iran.^[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 415 in 73 households, when it was in Soveyseh Rural District of the Central District of Ahvaz County.^[5] The following census in 2011 counted 301 people in 61 households.^[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 443 people in 90 households,^[2] by which time the rural district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Karun County.^[4]
