Built14th century

Kinmuck Castle was a 14th-century castle, about 4.0 miles (6.4 km) north-east of Ellon, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, at, or close to, Mains of Kinmuck.[1] Alternative names are Castle of Kinmuck, Carmuck Castle and Kermuck Castle.[2]

History[edit]

In 1413 the castle belonged to Thomas Kennedy, Constable of Aberdeen,[2] who dismantled it then to build the old Ellon Castle.
