Noah's Ark (2024 film)
Noah's Ark is a 2024 animation film directed by Sérgio Machado and Alois Di Leo. The film is a Brazilian and Indian coproduction.[1] It is based on the biblical episode of Noah's Ark in the Book of Genesis such as it was adapted by Vinicius de Moraes.[2]
The film was produced by Walter Salles.[3]
Plot[edit]
Tito and Vini are two mice who like to sing and play music. They surprise a conversation between Noah and God and realise that Earth will be flooded.
Tom and Vini try to board the ark Noah and his family (Susanah, his daughter and Ruth, his wife) have prepared. But Noah refuses as both Tom and Vini are male. As all animal couples are entering the ship, and a female mouse, Nina, arrives, Vini leaves, despite Tom's protests, so that his friend can be saved.
Vini is saved from drowning by a cockroach and his crew, sailing on a small boat. They find the Ark and board through a whole that has been made by rogue big mammals, who have entered the food storage room to help themselves. To avoid the Lion King that leads that group take control, a musical contest is organised. But the Lion's musical capacities are weak and Vine and Tito perform for him behind a curtain. When the trick is discovered, all animals, even his friends, stop recognising the authority of the cheater. It is also the moment when arks finally reaches land and all the occupants can be saved.

Tito and Vini have been presented as evocations of Tom Jobim and Vinicius de Moraes.[4][5][6]
A French review found the film mediocre.[7]
