Gbenga Adigun is a Nigerian businessman, investor, real estate Developer, and construction support logistics expert. He is the co-founder of Rebar Perfecta Limited.[1][2][3]

He is an awardee of JOM Charity Award,[4] Africa Brands CEO Awards[5] and African Leader of Integrity Merit Award for excellence in entrepreneurship.[6]

Early Life[edit]

Gbenga Adigun hails from Oyo State in Ibadan South-West. He was born to Pius Adigun, an engineer in glass manufacturing, and Aderonke Adigun, a businesswoman.[7] Gbenga Adigun attended Model College, Ojo, and Mason College, Festac Town, Lagos for his secondary education. He then proceeded to Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo State where he earned his first degree, Bachelor of Technology in Pure & Applied Mathematics, and Harvard University program in “Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies.[8][9]

Career[edit]

Gbenga began his career in the banking and finance sector, working with institutions like Guaranty Trust Bank and ARM before transitioning into the construction and construction logistics industry.[10][11]

In 2012, he founded Rebar Perfecta and it was named Africa’s 100 Most Valuable Brands 2023’ at an exclusive event held on March 29 in Lagos.[12]

He is an advocate for Affordable housing for the low and middle class in Nigeria and has revolutionized the housing market by incorporating Green building technology, renewable energy sources, and eco-friendly materials. One of his notable contributions includes the development of Gbengatown, a pioneering suburban project that not only provided housing but also symbolized hope for displaced Nigerians and influenced urban growth across the country.[13][14][2][15]

In 2022, Daily times newspaper listed him among the top three Real Estate Developers in Nigeria. [16] He has also been actively involved in charitable initiatives supporting community development and affordable housing projects.[17][15]

In 2023, he was honoured with The Outstanding Personalities (T. O. P) Prize for shaping Nigeria's business landscape, showcasing remarkable achievements in corporate Nigeria,[18] and in 2024, he was named among twenty remarkable young Nigerians under the age of 50.[19]

Professional membership and Awards[edit]

Gbenga holds memberships in professional bodies such as the Fellow Institute of Consulting (FIC) and Fellow Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD). He has received several awards for his contributions to the industry, including the JOM Charity Award, African Brands Awards, African Brands CEO Awards, African Quality Achievements Award, National Quality Order of Merit Award, and West Africa Brands Excellence Awards.[1][16][15]
