Hot Girl Walk is a 4-mile outdoor walk that encourages participants to focus on gratitude, goals, and confidence. Created by Mia Lind in 2020, Hot Girl Walk's goal is to bring women together through accessible and inclusive fitness training that promotes both mental and physical well-being.[1] The walks can be taken as an individual activity, or they can be done in groups. Hot Girl Walk events are organized by Hot Girl Walk LLC and its Ambassadors.

History[edit]

The concept of Hot Girl Walk was created in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic when American student Mia Lind, a graduate of the University of Southern California, began taking four-mile walks as a means of relieving stress.[2][3][1] During these walks, Lind reflected on gratitude, goals, and confidence, and she began calling it a "Hot Girl Walk". She began to promote the concept on TikTok under her account "exactlyliketheothergirls" on January 23, 2021.[4][5][6][7][2][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15]

Lind trademarked the name "Hot Girl Walk" in April 2021, receiving official trademark status from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) on April 25, 2023.[16] She established Hot Girl Walk LLC in February 2023, based in California and registered in Delaware (File Number: 7286657).[17] She subsequently registered the trademark in the United Kingdom, the European Union, Japan, Monaco and Canada.[18] Hot Girl Walk LLC also has several trademarks filed with the USPTO and in other countries for additional classes andservices, including the term HGW as a shorthand for Hot Girl Walk (Registration Number: 7037847).[19]

In 2023 Hot Girl Walk began a marketing partnership with the fitness app company Strava.[20][21]
