Early life and education[edit]

Rembert was born in Pensacola, Florida to parents, Orenthal and Cheryl Rembert, as the second of their seven children.[7][8][9] He attended Booker T. Washington High School from 2012 to 2016, earning 3 varsity letters as an outfielder.[10][11][12]

Amateur career[edit]

After graduating from high school, Rembert signed with Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama. During his freshman year, he competed on the junior varsity team.[13][14]

Rembert transferred to Coastal Alabama Brewton Community College for his sophomore season, where he achieved a batting average of .274 with 13 runs batted in (RBI) and 10 runs scored.[15][16]

Rembert then transferred to Alcorn State University. In 2019, during his junior season at Alcorn State, he batted .345 with 48 hits, 9 doubles, 3 home runs, 22 RBI, and.462 on base percentage.[17] [18] In his senior season, Rembert was named a 2020 First Team Preseason All-SWAC selection and acknowledged as one of the SWAC Top Players To Watch by the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper.[19][20][21][22][23]

During his senior season, in 2020, Rembert batted .255 with a homerun and 6 RBIs.[24][25][26] Rembert was named a HBCU player to watch for the 2020 MLB Draft in June 2020.[27] After his senior year was cut short due to COVID-19, Rembert returned to Alcorn State for his 5th season of college baseball and was ranked as the pre-season 10th best HBCU MLB Draft prospect by Black College Nines. During his 2021 season, Rembert batted .200 with 7 hits, 2 doubles, and .310 on base percentage in 10 games.[28][29]
