William Giles Hills (June 26, 1841 – April 18, 1912) was a soldier in the United States Army during the American Civil War. He received the Medal of Honor.
Biography[edit]
Hill was born on 26 Jun 1841 in Conewango, New York.[1]
Hills was a Private with Company E, 9th New York Cavalry. He earned the Medal of Honor during the Civil War for heroism on September 26, 1864, at North Fork, Virginia.[1]
Hill died on 18 Apr 1912, was cremated, and his urn rests in the columbarium of Hillcrest Abbey Crematorium and Mausoleum in St. Louis, Missouri.

Citation:
